None of the following requires asking, paying, or attributing. If what you want to do is on this list, stop reading and go do it.

Requires a licence

These are the reserved rights. They exist to stop the product being cloned or resold, not to get in the way of anyone using it.

If you want one, ask. Commercial and embedding licences are granted case by case — a training provider wanting TypeCrt inside its own platform, for example. Write to [email protected] describing the use, and you will get a real answer rather than a form.

Name and marks

“TypeCrt” and the TypeCrt logo identify this product. You may use the name to refer to it — in a review, a comparison, a list of tools, a citation. You may not use it as the name of your own project, in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation, or in a way that could lead someone to believe your thing is this thing.

Your data is not covered by this

This licence governs the software. It makes no claim over the text you type, the results you produce, or the themes you author. Your typing history and settings are stored in your own browser and are yours; what the site does transmit is enumerated on the privacy page.

Warranty and liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE. The full liability position, including the consumer-rights carve-outs, is in section 7 of the Terms of Service.
